You don't stop laughing because you grow old. You grow old because you stop laughing.

What is up with Dora?My baby granddaughter loves her, at 1 yr old. My friend from work loves Dora and she is 35. I must admit that when I watched a video of Dora when Abby was visiting, I could not take my eyes away from the T.V. But mostly my eyes were on Abby as she watched Dora solve cases via nursery rhymes. The old mother goose rhymes I learned as a child. Abby was so enthralled in this little spanish explorer, her side kick monkey named "Boots" , her trusty map, and her adorable back pack. Then there is the villan named "Swiper". Swiper is a thief and Dora is always saying " Swiper no swiping" What ever the attraction, my Abby is hooked and so are many others. Dora is very cute and vibrant, and bubbly. Maybe that's it. Vibrant and bubbly? Dora does teach good things though. I thought it was so cute when my Abby was visiting , her cousins gave her a Dora back pack. When I watched this little person with a back pack on my heart melted. I don't know why. Maybe it was she was so little and looked so grown up at the same time. She just looked adorable. When I was young the fascination was Mr. Dressup and Sesame Street. Then it bacame Barney world and Telatubbies. Now it is Dora. Dora is so much better than Telatubbies. They drove me nuts. All they did is talk baby talk the whole show. So stupid. Our children are much brighter than that. Dora is cool and with the times. She teaches children ,and that is way cool. So I guess Dora is with the times. My grand baby loves Dora. And if Abby loves her then so do I!

I want a tattoo!
I want to go out and get a tattoo of something really colorful and bright. Maybe on my shoulder? I'm thinking flowers, or rainbows. How about butterflys or balloons. Or maybe a dragon with flames coming out of it's mouth? Don't freak out family. I know that most of you are saying " has she finally snapped." No I have not. I'm not set against tattoos. I've been watching Miami Ink and the guys , and gals on this show are so talented. Such great artists. As I watched about the client that comes in and has a portrait of his dying 2 yr old daughter tattooed on his chest I wanted to cry. Wow. I don't think tattoos are for me! I don't like the fact that they are so permanent. So permanent. !!!! Sometimes I think people get way too many. The people on this show have way too much body art, as far as I'm concerned. But that is just my opinion. But I think that some ink on a very private out of the way place on a body can be very nice. I think? I am not going to rush out and get a tattoo. But just watching this show I realize that it is such an art work. I guess I will have to stick with the press on kind. I'm not going to rush out and get a tattoo just yet. But press on are just not the same.

Stop the racism!
The words of this caption says "choose your friends by their character, and your socks by there color. Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense, and choosing your friends by their color , is unthinkable. This photo reminds of my friend from Africa. Although I am not blonde hair and blue eyed, my skin is very fair and my friend is very dark skinned, yet we are very good friends. We are sisters. I say we are sisters from another mister. Stop the insanity, stop the racism!

Today , I had the most amazing day. I went to my dear friend La's house. She is from Laos. This is not her, but she showed me a picture of her and her husband in the same wedding dress. La is a wonderful gracious woman. She was the one that was in the car accident that I wrote about before Christmas. She's been off work for about 4 months and now she is back and well. I missed her when she was off work and am so thankful she is back. Today she invited me and another co worker to her home to teach us how to make spring rolls. It was so much fun, We made them, cooked them and then ate them. She also made us shanghai noddles. Laotion people cook with spice, and the noodles were quite spicy but good. The spring rolls were yummy. La's sisters and sister inlaw came over too and we enjoyed visiting and sipping on wine and getting to know each other better. Then the gals took us down stairs to sing Karaoke from Laos. It was fun. Before we knew it was 7:00 P.M. and all the husbands started to come in. Next thing I know we are invited for supper. They call it hot pot. Very popular in Laos and Thailand. It's a big electric fry pan in the middle of the table and you cook, thin slices of beef , squid, mushrooms, onion, and on other plates there is bean sprouts, tomatoes, lettuce, rice noddles, and rice wrappers. You can put all or some of the cooked or fresh food in the wrapper and then dip it in a really nice dipping sauce. Yummy. The only thing that I was uncomfortable about is that when all the husbands came everyone started talking in Laotion but me and my friend Malik . It was strange. As we are eating around the table , men and women are all talking and laughing. I did not know if they were talking about us or not. I could see that Malik was very uncomfortable so she excused herself. I ate then I excused myself and we left shortly after that. For the most part the day was fantastic. I want to ccok like this for my family sometime. We like to try different foods.

What the Olympics is all about!
I don't know about you, but I love watching the Olympics. Not all sports are my favorites. But I like hearing about how hard these athletes work and how when they are awarded the medal, It makes the long road all that much sweeter. I was watching figure skating today. It was the pairs final skate. The Chinese couple on the left of this photo won silver. What is so amazing about this is, when the man threw the woman for a quadruple spin in the air, She fell hard. She did almost the splits and slapped her knees on the ice. She was obviously injured. Rules say that they have another chance to continue where the music left off at the time of the fall. The way it looked she was in no shape to continue. Even the announcers didn't think she would go for it. But after a few minutes of the medics checking her out, the couple decide to go for it. They went on to perform the rest of the program and won silver. I was crying. How brave. This to me is what the Olympics is all about. They got a standing ovasion from the whole crowd. At that moment it did not matter what country they were from, all flags were waving for this Chinese couple. It was so marvelous. Of course we all want to see our own countries do well, but I get such a lump in my throat to see such Peace. Wow. Way cool. Now that's good sportsmanship.

Amen, Let's Eat!

Isn't this hilarious. I got such a chuckle out of reading this shirt.
What a gas. I would definately be keeping my eyes on him, that's for sure. And then I would hope that I would have the energy to keep up to him if he started running. This guy could have some real fun with this though. He could fool people real good by just running for the fun of it and see how many people would run after him.
