Spring!
It's the most wonderful time of the year! I love spring so much. It is my favorite! I remember when I was in my teens , my family and another close family of ours , would go to the "Old Fort" in northern B.C. near where we lived ,and would climb a hill that was filled with crocus. It was so beautiful and so memorable. The time we spent there will never be forgotten. We would take a picnic lunch and then climb the big hill and enjoy the view and flowers. I think that is the time I fell in love with spring. A time when everything came into bloom. The grass turned green, and the trees would bud, and the pussy willows would come out. It was almost magical to me. So now this time of year I breathe a huge sigh of delight when I see the buds on the trees and the pussy willows and crocus . I love this time of re- birth! New life! So awesome!

One day, a man came home and was greeted by his wife dressed in a very Sexy nightie. "Tie me up," she purred, "and you can do anything you want." So he tied her up and went golfing.
A woman came home, screeching her car into the driveway, and ran into the house. She slammed the door and shouted at the top of her lungs, "Honey, pack your bags. I won the lottery!" The husband said, "Oh my Gosh! What should I pack, beach stuff or mountain stuff?" "Doesn't matter," she said. "Just get out." badabump
Marriage is a relationship in which one person is always right, and the other is a husband.
A Polish immigrant went to the DMV to apply for a driver's license. First, of course, he had to take an eye sight test the
A wife was making a breakfast of fried eggs for her husband. Suddenly, her husband burst into the kitchen. "Careful," he said, "CAREFUL! Put in some more butter! I said be CAREFUL! You NEVER listen to me when you're cooking! Never! Turn them! Hurry up! Are you CRAZY? Have your LOST your mind? Don't forget to salt them. You know you always forget to salt them. Use the salt. USE THE SALT! THE SALT!" The wife stared at him. "What in the world is wrong with you? You think I don't know how to fry a couple of eggs?" The husband calmly replied, "I just wanted to show you what it feels like when I'm driving." Oh groan! badabump.
Fifty-one years ago, Herman James, a North Carolina mountain man, was drafted by the Army. On his first day in basic training, the Army issued him a comb. That afternoon the Army barber sheared off all his hair. On his second day, the Army issued Herman a toothbrush. That afternoon the Army dentist yanked seven of his teeth. On the third day, the Army issued him a jock strap....... The Army has been looking for Herman for 51 years. Hee hee. Badabump.... ;)

First of all I am now known as " Gamma Bear" to my little honey. Abby has so many grammas and it is kinda confusing to a 2 year old. When her mommy and daddy tell her that they are going to visit gramma, she is not quite sure which one they are talking about. I collect teddy bears, and I let Abby play with them when she comes to visit me. So that is how my son came up with the idea of referring to me as "Gramma Bear". So any way, they came to my house for dinner last sunday. It was a very nice visit. When they left my apartment, Abby looked up at my building and said, "Gamma lives in a castle." She thinks that I live in the whole apartment building and that no one else lives there. I just giggled when My daughter inlaw told me this. So I am " Gamma Bear , that lives in a castle". I just love that! So sweet.

Let me tell you the answer is to wash!!! Right now at my work I am having to clean up after cadets that are sick. About 60 of them. They have been quarentined to another building so as not to spread the germs any further. But in the mean time Me and my co workers have to go and disinfect the area where they were residing. What a job! It all starts with one person who is sick, and they do not wash there hands, then another comes along and touches the same door handle that the infected person touched, not suspecting anything to happen, and then bang, we have an out break of sickness. It is not an epidemic. But in a place where we have cadet living in close quarters it seems to be something. My co workers and I have had some very exhausting 2 weeks trying to get the germs under control. We can only do so much. As soon as we disinfect a door handle, all it takes is one infected person to touch that door handle and we are right back where we started from. So my point I am trying to make is everyone needs to do there part and wash, wash, wash, there hands...... !!!!!Thursday, April 12, 2007

" In this life I am a woman. In my next life I want to come back as a bear. When you're a bear, you get to hybernate. You do nothing but sleep for 6 months. I could deal with that. Before you hybernate, you're supposed to eat yourself stupid. I could deal with that too. When you're a girl bear, you birth your children(who are the size of a walnuts) while you are sleeping and wake to partially grown, cute cuddly cubs. I could definately deal with that. If you're a mama bear everyone knows you mean business. You swat anyone that bothers your cubs. If your cubs get out of line you swat them too. I could deal with that. If you're a bear, your mate expects you to wake up growling. He expects that you will have hairy legs and excess body fat. Yup, gonna be a bear!

HOW TO CALL THE POLICE WHEN YOU'RE OLD AND DON'T MOVE FAST ANYMORE.
George Phillips of Meridian, Mississippi was going up to
bed when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed,
which she could see from the bedroom window.
George opened the back door to go turn off the light but saw that there
were people in the shed stealing things.
He phoned the police, who asked "Is someone in your house?" and he said "no".
Then they said that all patrols were busy, and that he should simply lock his door
and an officer would be along when available.
George said, "Okay," hung up, counted to 30, and phoned the police again.
"Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people in
my shed. Well, you don't have to worry about them now cause I've just shot
them all." Then he hung up.
Within five minutes three police cars, an Armed Response unit, and an
ambulance showed up at the Phillips' residence and caught theburglars red-handed.
One of the Policemen said to George: "I thought you said that you'd shot them!"
George said, "I thought you said there was nobody available!"

Can you cry under water?
How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?
Why do you have to "put your two cents in".. but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to?
Once you're in heaven, do you get stuck wearing the clothes you were buried in for eternity?
Why does a round pizza come in a square box?
What disease did cured ham actually have?
How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?
Why is it that people say they "slept like a baby" when babies wake up like every two hours?
If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?
Why are you IN a movie, but you're ON TV?
Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?
Why do doctors leave the room while you change? They're going to see you naked anyway.
Why is "bra" singular and "panties" plural?
Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?
If Jimmy cracks corn and no one cares, why is there a stupid song about him?
Can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the carpool lane?
If the professor on Gilligan's Island can make a radio out of a coconut, why can't he fix a hole in a boat?
Why does Goofy stand erect while Pluto remains on all fours? They're both dogs!
If Wiley E. Coyote had enough money to buy all that ACME crap, why didn't he just buy dinner?
If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what is baby oil made from?
If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?
Do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?
Why did you just try singing the two songs above?
Why do they call it an asteroid when it's outside the hemisphere, but call it a hemorrhoid when it's in your butt?

A Kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they were drawing. She would occasionally walk around to see each child's work.As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked what the drawing was.
The girl replied, "I'm drawing God."
The teacher paused and said, "But no one knows what God looks like."
Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing, the girl replied, "They will in a minute."
A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds.
After explaining the commandment to "honor" thy Father and thy Mother, she asked, "Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?"
Without missing a beat one little boy (the oldest of a family) answered, "Thou shall not kill."
One day a little girl was sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly noticed that her mother had several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast on her brunette head.
She looked at her mother and inquisitively asked, "Why are some of your hairs white, Mom?"
Her mother replied, "Well, every time that you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white."
The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then said, "Momma, how come ALL of grandma's hairs are white?"
The children had all been photographed, and the teacher was trying to persuade them each to buy a copy of the group picture.
"Just think how nice it will be to look at it when you are all grown up and say, 'There's Jennifer, she's a lawyer,' or 'That's Michael, He's a doctor.'
A small voice at the back of the room rang out, "And there's the teacher, she's dead."
A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, she said, "Now, class, if I stood on my head, the blood, as you know, would run into it, and I would turn red in the face."
"Yes," the class said.
"Then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into my feet?"
A little fellow shouted,
"Cause your feet ain't empty."
The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray:
"Take only ONE. God is watching."
Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a l arge pile of chocolate chip cookies.
A child had written a note, "Take all you want. God is watching the apples.

My daughter and son inlaw gave me the most wonderful gift ever. They put a lot of thought into it. I could tell it was truly a gift of love. In a basket was wrapped , a soup bowl, soup mix (home made) with all the things that went into the soup. A warm blanket, and crackers plus some romantic movies to cuddle up with. Tonight I enjoyed my soup, blanket, and a movie. It is stormy out so it was such a pleasure to wrap my self up and stay warm. The soup was wonderful, and so was the warm snuggly blanket. I love gifts like that. Thanks Tiff and Brian.

Twas the night before Christmas... The family is coming over tonight(minus Jen, Jordan, and Abby)to have a Christmas Eve dinner, then to play games. It should be a nice time. I always love being with my family. I'm sick with a cough though. Those cadets shared the sick bugs with me. They were all sick and coughing before I left work on Friday. I'm happy that I have 11 days off now to recoup. Christmas day the whole family(those in town) will be at my sister Peggy's . We will meet very early to open presents, and then have brunch. Then visit and relax til the Turkey dinner . I look forward to having all my kids together. My wish for you is that you have a wonderful time with your families, I hope you take time to reflect on the the good things in your life and that you have a safe and blessed Holiday season.
