Fall is such a beautiful time of year, yet it can seem so sad to me. I love the sunshine and colors, but at the same time I feel a sadness. Things are slowly dying! soon will come the death of winter. Dark, dreary, leaveless trees, snow turned and muddy brown. Yuck! as you may have picked up , I hate the death and brown of winter. Cold, brown sugar snow covered, slippery streets. The time of year one has to pre start cars and let them warm for 20 minutes before driving them. You all from countries that don't get - 30 below would not be able to relat to this at all. It is dam cold, and dam dreary. I can't focus on that though. It still is nice hear right now. Today was coolish, but very bright and sunny. I will take it. So cheers all. Happy fall and soon thanksgiving. I will get through the cold winter like I always do. One day at a time.

Yes you will with lots of prayers for you I say all day long. I love you.
Wow! such lovely photo. It leaves me breathless. Love the color.
You know I'm not a winter fan either. I always try to focus on the things I love about the season. Snuggling with a bowl of popcorn under an afghan watching a movie. Making big, warm, hearty suppers. The house filled with the smell of fresh buns baking. Candles burning. New jeans and big warm sweaters. The twinkle of the street lights on the snow. Christmas decorations up around town. Sleigh rides. Making snow men.
Now I've got myself looking forward to it. :)
Thanks Jen. I like your positive take on things. I will have to practice finding the good.
Oh Wanda, look on the bright side. The days are often sooooo bright you need sunglasses. The twinkling of the snow that looks like sparkling diamonds. How much better a cup of tea tastes when you use it to warm yourself up. For that matter, how much better a simmering stew tastes as well. It is also a time to be introspective. To reflect on your life. See what is working and see what is not. Plan for the future. Spend more time reading and watching those movies you never got around to seeing. I could go on and on and I am a fall and winter girl myself. Spring is to dirty and wet, summer to hot and way too many bugs. I guess beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.
