Your favorite childhood summer game.

What was your favorite? Mine was marbles. As a child I would borrow one marble from friends and win a whole lot of marbles . One marble , pay back one and then go on to win lots more. I guess you would call that a gambling girl. What was your favorite summer game? Jacks, hopscotch, hide n seek, checkers, chess, chinese skipping,..... what is it. Kids now a days like to play in door games . Video or computer games. Not like when I was a child! We were not allowed to watch T.V and computer games were atari. Oh my give my age away. Pacman was the thing back then. But out door games in the summer was so much more important. What was your favorite summer game?

My sisters and I loved building forts in the yard, running through the sprinkler and playing in our treehouse. We often got the neighbourhood kids together for a big game of Kick the Can or something.

Now, my favorite thing to do outside is definitely watch Abby play and explore. Rollerblading is another fave.

I loved playing paper dolls. The kind that you can change dresses, hats and shoes. A close of friend of mine use to come to the house to play. We played on top of an unused old dining table. We used books as partitions to make it like a house.

I loved riding my bike and playing tag with my sisters and the neighbourhood kids. I also loved tobaggoning down the hill in our backyard in the winter. So much fun!

Patty I remember red rover but not run sheep run.

Friday, I too loved paper dolls. I also made houses out of books for barbie dolls. I loved my barbie dolls. What fun.

Jen, you called it kick the can? I did too. But we are so many years apart. Some things do last the test of time.

Chinese skipping!

Marbles was a spring game for us. I remember the pools of melting snow threatening to catch the marbles.
